MY APPROACHCurrently I am primarily utilizing either a telephone session or an online, HIPAA compliant video session. In certain situations I am seeing clients in the office.
Please call or email with any questions. People seek out therapy for different reasons, sometimes for help with a specific issue and other times because they see the need for change in their lives. Whatever the reason, I believe life can be amazing and sometimes it takes a little help to get there. Initially, we look the day to day challenges that may be motivating factors for seeking therapy. At times we might explore past experiences and attachment styles. This helps us gain an understanding of current relational patterns and opportunities for change. Depending on the situation and the person, we may introduce different techniques for use in and out of the session. |
MY PHILOSOPHY
I offer integrative therapy which means that I use a combination of traditional types of therapy with mind/body techniques based on neuroscience. I incorporate interpersonal therapy, CBT, collaborative therapy, solution focused therapy and motivational interviewing depending on individual client needs.
I balance this work with neuroscience which guides my work integrating a foundational knowledge of therapy with an understanding of how our emotional reality affects our physiological state and overall sense of well -being. Neuro Emotional Technique® (NET) is a way of assisting the mind/body with releasing the stress associated with both current and past stressors helping to achieve a more regulated emotional state. From this more regulated state clients are more able to work therapeutically, create solutions and integrate behavior changes.
